"Waking up in the morning is hard, but I know that when I get to CFV, I'll be greeted by friendly faces and great coaches that push me beyond what I thought I could do.

I leave feeling totally exhausted but completely empowered and can't wait for the next day to do it all again! "

"Crossfit Victus means much more than just fitness to me. I watched my confidence grow... I became more and more happy with myself, my body and my life...I have attracted so many positive life experiences by putting myself in a place/around people where 'positivity just is'.

Strength, confidence, life long friendships , independence, reassurance, courage are some of the many things I have gained from CFV. The most valuable of all...a precious little girl who knows what a healthy lifestyle is and what a happy Mum looks like. "

"Coming from a not so fit background, I was always sceptical about joining a gym as I never had the motivation. But after joining Crossfit Victus, that quickly went away.

Since joining, my fitness levels have risen dramatically. I’ve achieved goals I never thought I would ever get to. Along with reaching your target goals, the best thing about CFV is the community Mark and his coaches have created. Personally, I’ve never had this much encouragement ever. "

“Joining Crossfit Victus was easily the most nerve wracking, intimidating but rewarding health decision I've ever made. At first I thought it was exclusively for athletes and something I could never do, but my frame of mind has slowly changed and I now know I can do anything - no matter how tough it seems.

Crossfit Victus forces you to get out of your comfort zone, and introduces you to a whole new family full of positive and inspirational people. The amazing feeling you get from consistently challenging yourself is truly addictive, and I'm so glad I embraced the fear and overcame it.”

"Having always been active and coming from a sports background, i thought i was a reasonably fit person. After training at CFV for over six months now i have improved my fitness level and general health to a level i never thought possible.

Mark and his team continually put in a lot of effort to create a warm and inclusive environment for all the members of CFV. Having experienced what other gyms offer, there is absolutely no comparison to training at CFV. A big part of that is the other members who are always encouraging and supportive of each other regardless of background, age or fitness level.

To anyone interested or curious about crossfit you have to come and try it. I guarantee you'll be hooked and going to the gym will never be a chore again!"

"I’ve been crossfitting for around 18 months. From the day I started, Crossfit Victus has been place where I find myself constantly challenged and pushed to set goals then working towards reaching every one of them no matter what it takes. Every day is a new opportunity to be a little better than I was yesterday.

Crossfit, and the unique CFV community has allowed me to become both physically and mentally stronger than I ever thought possible."

"After a year of going to a regular gym and struggling to reach my goals, I was invited to a family day at Crossfit Victus. I left that day very intrigued and it didn’t take long for me to join.

Since then I have reached goals I didn’t see possible and now thanks to Mark Edis and his team at CFV I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and I will get there.

The biggest reason I love CFV is the community environment that Mark has created weather you’re first or last to finish the WOD there is always someone cheering you on."

"During my time at CFV I've personally done things I never thought I could do. But above anything, the best thing about CFV is the community that Mark and the other coaches have created.

I've been playing 1st grade Australian Rules Football for 15 years now and a lot of teams I've been involved in could really learn a thing or three off the CFV family. It's an amazing place that is going from strength to strength and I can't wait to keep learning new skills and progressing on my CrossFit journey. "

"Walking into CFV for the first time was unlike walking into any other gym I have ever been to. The coaches and members made me feel welcomed and were quick to introduce themselves. In the past 9 months I have been a member at CFV (the longest I have ever stuck to the one gym) I have lost a lot of cm’s and become a lot stronger, both mentally and physically.

But what constantly blows me away is the awesome community at CFV. It really is like no other, every time you walk into the place it is full of positive people, doing amazing things and inspiring each other to become better at what we do. I have made a lot of new friends at CFV, people who I otherwise would never have met, and a big thanks needs to go to Mark and Corinne Edis and all the coaches and staff who make all this possible."

"When you walk into CFV for the first time you realise your not walking into another gym...in fact it does'nt even look like a gym....thats because its not, its a crossfit box! The first thing you probably say to yourself is "wheres all the machines, mirrors and muscle bound meatheads wearing headphones, admiring themselves as they prance up and down...and the women on treadmills reading mags, frustrated with the lack of results from countless hours of tedious boring and repetitious exercise....well sorry to dissapoint but you wont find any of that funky crap here...

What you will see is open spaces with gymnastic rings, pullup bars, ropes, olly bars & kettle bells....what you won't see is something that does'nt become apparent until the joint is full of cfv's finest athletes and pumping.....and that's the joint's heart and soul; something that cant be seen only felt.

The athletes here are like members of a big family, brothers and sisters that compete as hard as they can with each other not just to improve themselves but to help the others improve themselves as well. But what's more important is that everyone cares about everyone else and when someone stumbles theres someone else there with their hand out to pick them up, whether it be during the toughest of WOD'S or the toughest of days.....to me that's what separates CFV, its athletes and especially its coaches from any of the others!
So you will see when you become a part of this place, you dont just become a member of a gym or the likes, you become a member of a family. A family that is CROSSFIT VICTUS!"

"After bub number 2 and getting into some pretty lazy/bad habits I had gained a lot of weight and had zero fitness. I was a member of a local gym but was finding it difficult to find the motivation to go as I found running on treadmills and doing sets of legs curls mind-numbingly tedious. As someone who has often been up and down with their weight, exercise to me has primarily been a means to lose weight and therefore was a chore, so that combined with being unmotivated and uninspired I was struggling to see any results.

Wasting time on Facebook one day I saw an ad for CrossFit Victus; I had never heard of CrossFit but out of curiosity I checked out the website and looked at some photos and videos online. Feeling frumpy and self-conscious I was extremely intimidated, but nothing else was working so I quashed my fear and decided to give it a try. As anticipated I was greeted by a ridiculously fit guy (Mark Edis) and as someone that could barely do a push-up my already low self-esteem plummeted further. What was completely unexpected though was just how supportive, encouraging, patient and genuinely interested in helping me Mark was. From that day I have never looked back and I am proudly a self-confessed CrossFit addict.

Even more surprising is that I had thought the amazing support and encouragement I received at the beginning would wear off after a while, but 12 months on and I am still consistently motivated and inspired by Mark as well as all of the fantastic members of CFV. For the first time since I was a teenager, exercise is no longer a chore, but something I actually enjoy and look forward to doing; I am no longer primarily motivated only to lose weight, but to get fitter, stronger, healthier and in turn, happier. "I started my Crossfit journey 6 weeks after giving birth to my third son. I wasn’t quite sure what to think of Crossfit before I started. From photos I’d seen on the internet, I assumed it would be very full on, intense and a bit scary. I decided I’d give the fundamentals a go, and if it didn’t suit I would pull out. What I found was the complete opposite. Crossfit Victus caters for all levels of fitness – and everyday there is a range of various capabilities performing at their best.

CFV is a supportive, safe and fun environment to workout in and learn new skills. I’ve never felt embarrassed or out of my depth during a WOD, and when I find something challenging the camaraderie of the Crossfit Victus members and coaches helps get you over the line.

My children often come with me to CFV and play in the crèche during the WOD. I love that kids are made to feel welcome. It’s a safe place for them to hang out with other kids and play around, and I get my exercise in at the same time.Any other mum would know how hard it can be at times to fit exercise into your day! As a mother it is empowering to see how quickly my body responds to the workouts and to feel the increase in myoverall energy levels. I have seen great results in a short amount of time, and it’s definitely changed the way I feel about diet and exercise. I’m not sure I could ever return to a normal gym! I would recommend Crossfit Victus to anyone."
